Saina Nehwal launches badminton academy at Gaur City

The announcement was made jointly by Saina Nehwal and Manoj Gaur, MD, Gaursons India, who laid emphasis on sports culture.

The 18 Acres sports complex has day / night cricket stadium, football field, athletic track, badminton, basket ball and volley ball courts and all sports facilities available at the Gaurs International School like boxing ring, 25 mtrs shooting range, wooden basketball court etc.

"I am happy to announce the opening of my 1st academy today and what better place can we have than a complete city -- Gaur City. As a sportsperson I want everyone to be fit and sports is the best way to keep up with your health. Through our academy we would love to come out with competitive badminton players," says Saina Nehwal. Emphasising on the health of women, she said, "Sports should not be restricted to men but women too should come forward and dedicate time to fitness. I would say that women should exercise daily at least for 20 minutes. Gaur City is blessings in disguise for the families as they don’t have to go far from their residences for sports as this place has all the sports options within a walking distance"

Gaur City Sports Complex is taking giant steps to promote sports as they recently organised Gaur Cricket League in its own cricket stadium.
