London: Indian boxing team was again at the receiving end of a controversial decision which saw Manoj Kumar getting knocked out of the men’s light welter weight (64kgs) at the Excel Centre yesterday.
The 26 year old Indian pugilists went down to George Stalker 20-16 in a match in which the former was looking seemingly dominant
Stalker won the first round 7-4 and stretched his lead in the second by winning 9-5.
Pushed to the wall, Manoj came out all guns blazing and won the round 7-4 but then some debatable performance eventually ruled the match in the Brit’s favor.
