Buckeye Scarlet lift 2014 MCT T20 Titan championship

Ohio: North Titan champions Buckeye Scarlet beat South Titan Champions Columbus Indiana Cricket Club by 44 runs to become the ultimate Champions of the MCT 2014 Titan Cup at Stubbs Park, Centerville, Ohio. The facile win was made possible due to final all-round display by Devin Patel of Rushville, Indiana, representing Buckeye Cricket Club.

BCC won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 147 for 9 in stipulated 20 overs despite their openers Milinda Ranatunga and Nakul Patel returning to the pavilion without opening their account. All-rounder Devin Patel and Kirti Vansadia stemmed the rot with good third wicket partnership. Devin Patel topscored with 48 which contained five boundaries and three soaring sixes. Captain Kirti Vansadia contributed 19-ball 38 (7x4s, 1x6). Ravi Patel posted 20 and Nikunj Patel was run out after making 17 runs in 16 balls. Mukesh Patel remained not out on 10.

For CICC Karthik Thinnanur (3 for 38) and Joydeep Chakrabarti (2 for 29) were the most successful bowles.

In reply Columbus Indiana Cricket Club were bowled out for 103 in 15.4 overs.Guha Raman topscored for his team with 31. He faced 18 balls and his knock was studded with three boundaries and two sixes. Aalok Trivedi (10), Monil Goklani (13) and Harish Bonam (not out 120 were
their other batsmen who got the double figure individuall scores. Devin Patel, who was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance, bowled the most economical bowling spell. In his three-over spell, Patel got three wickets for 9 runs. Deval Trivedi
and Ravi Patel got two wickets each for 32 and 9 runs, respectively.
