After this match, defending champion Atletico de Kolkata climbed up at the 2nd spot and Chennaiyin FC remained at the bottom position in the points table.

Here are the hits and flops from this match.

HITS

Sameehg Doutie (Atletico de Kolkata):- This South African winger was excellent on the field this night. He scored the equaliser for the home team just before the end of the 1st half. He also made an assist in the time of Hume’s goal with a perfect cross. He could get his first goal early in the 36 minute but an excellent tackle from Dhanachandra Singh (Chennaiyin FC) denied this.

Raphael Augusto (Chennaiyin FC):- Augusto was looking great in this match. He put the visitors ahead in the 27 minutes after the hosts’ defensive blunder. He produced some good balls but didn’t get much support from his fellow players except Elano (Chennaiyin FC).

FLOPS

Augustin Fernandes (Atletico de Kolkata):- Augustin Fernandes made a huge mistake in this match which resulted the only goal for the visitors. He failed to clear the ball which he totally missed, and made very easy for Raphael for his first ISL goal.

Fikru Teferra Lemessa (Chennaiyin FC):- Fikru was a toothless tiger in this match. The Ethiopian striker was far away from his best performance in the ISL. He was very weak in his position. He also fell in the offside trap several times. In short, his performance was very irritating in this match.
