Mohali: Mohali Golf Range is all set to hold its full-fledged 1st Golf Tournament the “Castle Sports Open Golf Tournament” for juniors, sub juniors, boys ,girls, amateurs and seniors, members and non-members on its " Par -2 Pitch and Putt Golf Course" on Sunday April 3 at the Mohali Golf Range in Sector 65, SAS Nagar.
This Open Golf Tournament will be held to celebrate the completion of one year of the Golf Academy at Mohali Golf Range as per the Indian Golf Union (IGU) List of Categories of A,B,C,D,E,F - Juniors ,Sub Juniors, Boys ,Girls ,Amateurs and Seniors and is open to all Members and Non Members .
This will be an annual event and apart from attractive prizes, participation certificates will also be given to all the participants. An Inter-School and Inter Golf Club Category will also be played and teams from Chandigarh Golf Club, CGA, Panchkula Golf Club, Forest Hills Golf Resort and SEPTA Chandimandir are invited to participate.
According to Harmeet Kahlon, International Golf Professional Winner and Director of the Golf Academy, "We want to give an opportunity to the players, especially children of the region to experience competitive golf in a small but professional way before they begin to participate in National Tournaments. For those players who do not yet own a golf set, we will be making arrangements for them to rent the same at a nominal cost.”
Registrations are now open at Mohali Golf Range and the last date of entry is Friday (April 1).
Mohali Golf Range was recently nominated’ for the India Golf Expo 2016 ‘ Best Driving Range’ Award.
