London: Tough times never last long, but tough people do. And that's what the women's singles semi-final between Sabine Lisicki and Agnieszka Radwanska at Wimbledon showed us all. Sabine won the match by 6-4, 2-6, 9-7 which was more of duel between the The German's pace and power against the accuracy and placement of the Polish. The smiling assassin from Germany was down and out in the final set at 0-3 but her perseverance saw her through to reach the finals of Wimbledon. Lisicki committed as many as 43 unforced errors which Radwanska failed to seize.
After she ran through her opponent in the first set, Sabine lost 
nine out of 10 games she played and made her way to the third and final set of the match. Third set turned out to be a high-voltage drama as both of them were trying their level best to out do each other. The Polish continued her dominance and won the first three games. Her accuracy and placements started doing wonders for her and were looking good enough, but twist in the tail came in when Lisicki came back from behind to make it 5-4.
With a break needed to stay in the contest, Radwanska responded well and with just two points away from clinching the contest, Lisicki fired one of her nine aces. Later the Polish committed a couple of errors in the 15th game to hand over the match to Lisicki.
Meanwhile in the other semi-final, Marion Bartoli meant some serious business as she thrashed her opponent in straight sets to make her way to the finals. She overpowered Kirsten Flipkens 6-1, 6-2 to bring an end to the dream-run of the Belgian.
The 15th seed Frenchwoman dominated to lead the first set 3-0 and later ended up winning it by 6-1. The script remained the same for the second set as she broke early to earn the place in finals for the second time after 2007, when she lost to Venus Williams in straight sets.
