Dharward: Sanam Singh defeated Ram Kumar Ramanathan 6-2,7-6 ( 4 ) to win the $ 10000 ITF dharwad open men’s Futures.
The final match which lasted for more 102 minutes saw Sanam start the match in brilliant fashion as he broke his opponent’s serve in the very first game. He won the first set without any fuss and looked good to finish the match without any problems.
The second set saw Ram Kumar fight back and play some brilliant tennis. The set went into the tie-breaker where Sanam held his nerves to emerge champion.
