Perth: Former Australian captain and legendary batsman Ricky Ponting will retire from Test cricket after the Perth Test match against South Africa.
Ponting in a press conference announced that the third Test match will be his last for Australia. Ponting has been horribly out of form off-late and said that he felt that he could no longer contribute to the teams’ cause the way he has done over the years.
The Perth Test will be Ponting’s 168th appearance and he will equal Steve Waugh’s record.
