New Delhi: Parwinder Awana and Pawan Suyal helped Delhi enforce follow-on to Tamil Nadu in their Group B Ranji Trophy match here at the Ferozeshah Kotla Stadium on Monday.
Tamil Nadu in reply to Delhi’s first innings total of 555 could manage only 226 in their first innings, as their last six wickets fell for only 39 runs.
Delhi starting at the overnight score of 31-1, lost three quick wickets in the morning session, but some determined batting by Dinesh Karthik and R. Prasanna recovered their innings. They put up 108-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
But Prasanna fell soon after the tea. He scored 58 off 123 including nine boundaries. Karthik was the next man to go after scoring 75 off 162 laced with 11 fours.
None of the other batsmen could pose any resistance to Delhi bowlers and they were soon bundled out.
Awana returned with figures of 4-53, while Suyal chipped in with 3-76.
Following on in the second innings were at 2-0 with Arun Karthik and Abhinav Mukund batting.
