Baroda score 525/7 against Delhi at stumps on day 2

rayuduDelhi: Baroda continued their dominance over hosts Delhi in the Group B Ranji Trophy match as they scored 525/7 at stumps on day two at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Both Abhimanyu Chauhan and Ambadi Rayudu played brilliantly and completed their centuries.

Baroda started the day at 252/3 with Chauhan on 82 and Rayudu on 83. Both batsmen batted pretty patiently at the start of the day and reached their hundreds. Together they took the score past the 300 run-mark to put Baroda in a very strong position.

Both Chauhan (113) and Rayudu (131) got out in quick succession but Delhi could not capitalize as every batsmen that followed them made some good contribution to the total.

Baroda lost their seventh wicket with the score at 399 and it looked that Delhi will wrap up the innings before 450, but Ketan Panchal and Gagandeep Singh had other ideas. Both batsmen took control of the situation and produced an attacking partnership.

Together the two added 126 unbeaten runs for the eight wicket, Panchal was not out on 72 and Gagandeep on 70 at the end of day’s play.
