Dhoni rules out third spinner for first Test against EnglandAhmedabad: Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni ruled out the possibility of playing three spinners in the first Test against England due to start tomorrow at Ahmedabad. Going by recent team selections, R Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha are most likely to be selected along with two pacers. Harbhajan Singh who made a comeback in the squad after more than a year is likely to miss the first Test.

Dhoni said the team needs to see whether the wicket is like that the fast bowlers also get a bit of reverse swing. He said that it’s always advisable to have a bowling attack to have people for different scenarios.

Dhoni said that Ishant Sharma has got viral fever and will not play in first Test all the other players are available for selection.

On Dinda who has been called up as back-up for Sharma, Dhoni said that He is just a back up. If someone breaks down in the night or tomorrow morning then he comes into the picture.

Dhoni also praised R Ashwin saying that he has got variations and can bowl almost each and every delivery, googly, off-spin, leg-spin, carrom ball. Dhoni said that Ashwin should use his off-breaks as his stock delivery.

Dhoni also said that it would be unfair to compare Ashwin with Saeed Ajmal as they are two different bowlers.
