London: Third seeded pair of Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek defeated Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez from Spain 7-5 6-4 in their second Group A match to qualify for the semifinals of the ongoing Barclays ATP World Tour Finals.
The first sent saw both the pairs fighting hard till the 12th game where Paes-Stepanek broke the serve to win the set.
The Spaniards got the early lead in the second set but some solid tennis from both Paes and Stepanek saw them catching up with the opponent and then taking the lead.
Earlier in the tournament, Indo-Czech pair defeated Aisam-ul-haq Qureshi and Jean-Julien Roger in their first match.
