New Delhi: Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal gained a position to climb up to third spot in the latest World badminton ranking after she won the Denmark Open last week.
Saina Nehwal, who is playing in the French Open, has a very good chance to climb up to the number two position. Saina, who is in the quarterfinal of the tournament, will reach the number two position if she qualifies for the semifinals.
If she reaches the semifinals, Saina (80361.7444) will get 6420 points and she will overtake Olympic champion Li Xuerui (85926.7153).
The London Olympics bronze medallist got to her career-best ranking of being the world number two in Dec. 2010.
