Odense: Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal defeated Minatsu Mitani of Japan 21-15, 21-14 to advance to the quarterfinals of the Denmark Open Super Series Premier.
It was a tough match for the World No.4 Saina considering the fact that the Japanese player won 15 straight points in the first game. Minatsu held her serve to go 15-0 up and was looking favorite to win the opening game. But Saina had other ideas and in a remarkable turnaround she won 21 straight points to win the game 21-15.
The second game saw both players playing some fabulous badminton, unlike the first game the second game turned out to be a seesaw battle.
Saina will now face the winner from Tine Baun- Lok Yan Poon match in the quarters.
