New Delhi: Ace Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza achieved a great milestone in her career after she recorded her 500th professional wins both singles and doubles combined. Sania reached the feat after she and her partner Bethanie Mattek Sands of America defeated Mervana Jugic-Salik and Sandra Klemenschits in the first round of the $637,400 WTA Brussels Open.
Sania now has 270 singles win including 21 at the grand slam and 230 doubles win. Saina who came into the tournament needing four wins to reach her 500th victory won three singles in the qualifiers before wrapping of the doubles match in just 65 minutes.
She and her partner now has qualifies for the quarter finals of the tournament and would face the pair of wild card entrants Elena Bovina and Alison Van Uytvanck
