New Delhi: Dedicating his man-of-the-match award to the Chennai flood victims, Ajinkya Rahane, who became only the fifth Indian batsmen to score centuries in both innings of a Test match, said that he was really happy for himself and the team.
“I really enjoyed that. I would like to dedicate the award to the people in Chennai who are suffering from the floods and the Indian army who is helping out. This one is for them,” said Rahane, adding that he always liked to improve his game and cricketing skills.
“I believe in my process because the results will follow,” he said.
Meanwhile, R Ashwin, who bagged the man of the series award for taking 31 wickets and scoring some runs too, said, “It’s a great feeling, a fitting finale to a wonderful series. We fought really hard. The South Africans dug in really deep. Generally on all these black soil wickets, there's not much bounce. I got massive support from Jadeja and let's not forget Umesh.”
