Paire, Somdev unveil Chennai Open trophy

World No. 26 Benoit Paire and India’s Somdev Devvarman together with Renuka Jaypal, National Brand Head, Aircel, M.A. Alagappan, President of Tamil Nadu Tennis Association, Karti P Chidambaram – Chairman Organizing Committee ACO, Vice President AITA, and Tom Annear, Tournament Director unveiled the magnificent trophy.


Scheduled to begin from 30th December 2013 to 5th January, 2014 in Chennai, the 19th edition of one of the region’s most awaited tennis tournaments will see in action the best Indian and International tennis players including World No. 8 Stanislas Wawrinka, World No. 15 Mikhail Youzhny, World No. 16 Fabio Fognini, and World No. 26 Benoit Paire and Indians Somdev Devvarman, Yuki Bhambri and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan among others.

Richly handcrafted to bring out style and substance, the trophy is designed to highlight strength, resilience, and personify the enthusiasm and energy associated with the top event.
