Narain Looking forward for a strong finish

Greator Noida: Hispania racer Narain Karthikeyan is working hard to get back into rhythm. The Indian racer returned only yesterday from Japan from practice and will be visiting Korea on the coming Tuesday.

“We tried doing number of laps yesterday. The Malaysian track is flowing and is a high down force circuit and HRT cars lack the same. The advantage of the Indian track is that it doesn’t have that much down force along and will also facilitate overtaking opportunities,” said Narain Karthikeyan.

Narain hopes that Indian Grand Prix will create an awareness drive and huge popularity of Formula One in the country.

Talking about the HRT cars limitations, he said, “I have my own limitations with the capabilities of my car. The best thing is to bring the car home and then make way for a stronger finish.”

Narain looked confident about racing on the challenging tracks and expressed that his experience would help get the best out of him and the car and will finish well in the Indian GP.

“I would first like to have a full season which would mean more opportunities to race and more mileage. Also, now that the buzz is around and there will be lot of public appearances, what I’m not going to miss out is with the training schedules, workouts and maintain the fitness level, as its likely to be physically challenging too if it’s going to be the same kind of weather by that time,” he told ISN.

On the 10th year of his association with TATA as a sponsor and for the Indian Grand Prix Hero Motors, he expressed his hopes on availability of ample resources for competing in the full season.

“Racing in the first ever Indian Grand Prix will be both historic and symbolic for me.” he added.
