MBTA to conduct Delhi’s first ever Ball Boys & Girls Hunt

New Delhi: Mahesh Bhupathi Tennis Academies (MBTA) is conducting a Ball Kids Hunt for Ball boys and girls for the upcoming Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) in December this year.

Ball boys and girls are an integral part of any formal tennis match and being selected for a tournament is a matter of prestige for tennis aspirants since it puts them in close proximity of tennis idols, apart from offering them a vantage point for observing high quality play between champions.

The Ball Kids Hunt, which is a first of its kind in the capital, primarily tests the kids on their speed, agility, mobility, stamina as well as their knowledge of the game. The hunt will see students competing between the age group of 12-16 years from the MBTA centers in Delhi-NCR as well as some schools in the same region.

Speaking about the initiative, Gaurav Natekar, CEO of MBTA said, “At MBTA, we are constantly trying to create better avenues for children to engage better with sports. Being part of the Ball Kids group will give the young tennis aspirants a chance to be in close proximity with the international players like Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, Sania Mirza, etc., and observe their tennis idols live in action.”

The Ball Kids Hunt will be conducted at Maple Town and Country Club on 24th and 25th October, 2015. The selected kids will then be trained for 3 to 4 days in Delhi before the second season of the Coca-Cola International Premier Tennis League begins on 10th December, 2015.
