Chandigarh: Panjab University defeated Delhi University 21-18 in the final to win the All-India Inter-University Inter-Zonal Handball Tournament for Women. Gurpreet Kaur was the star of the match as she scored seven goals for the winning team.

Kurukshetra University came third in the tournament after defeating University of Calicut 23-16.
