Chandigarh: Ishita, a student of Delhi Public School and trainee of Panjab University Coaching Centre, retained two titles and this year too she was declared Player of the Tournament in Chandigarh Junior and Senior State Championships held at Panjab University hall from November 24 to 27.

Rupinder Singh of PU won the Men’s Singles title.

The Chandigarh Badminton Association also honoured two badminton legend Dr SN Sharma and Wing Commander Satish Bhatia by facilitating them Life time Achievement Award. Kawaldeep Singh, Sania Sethi, Sumit Sharma, Abhishek Saini, Garima Singh and Divyanshi Rathore who performed well during North Zone Badminton Championships at Mandi, HP were also facilitated with cash award and trophies by Chandigarh Badminton Association.

Panjab University shuttlers once again showed their supremacy by winning seven winners and six runners-up positions.
