New Delhi: Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Senior Secondary Public School, Fatehgarh Sahib beat Kiddy’s Corner Higher Secondary School by 1-0 in a closely contested match in the final match of 23rd Nehru Girls Hockey Tournament being played at Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi, on Thursday.

The sole goal was scored by Reet in 16th minute for Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Senior Secondary Public School, while Kiddy’s Corner could not manage a single goal despite giving tough fight.

The winning team was awarded Rs 96,000 while the runner-up bagged Rs 64,000.

Coach of the winning team was given Rs 8,000, while the coach of runner up team was given Rs 5,000.

Player of the match was given a flash hockey stick.

Geeta Bajaaj Fair Play Trophy along with Rs 15,000 was given to Lallengvunga School, Mizoram.
