Nehru Girls Hockey Tournament: Vadodara school beat Nadia school 4-0

Gujarat Nadia hockey nehruNew Delhi: Urmi School & Hostel, Vadodara beat Shaktinagar Girls High School, Nadia by 4-0 in a one-sided match in 23rd Nehru Girls Hockey Tournament being played at Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi, on Monday.

The goals were scored at regular intervals in the 13th, 16th, 27th and 34th minute of the match by Urmi School. The goal scorer of the match was Noronha Sanya, Solanki Shivani, Chauhan Meena and Rathod Shalini, respectively. Shaktinagar Girls High School could not manage a single goal in the match.

In the second match, Government School, Purnea beat Motilal Nehru School of Sports, Rai (IPSC) by 3-1. The goal were scored by Ritika Soren, Chandini Kumari and Riya Kumari in the 5th, 7th and 53rd minute of the match respectively, while Rai School scored a goal through Manju in 42nd minute of the match.

In the third match played on Sunday, Tika Ram Senior Secondary School, Sonepat beat Naharkatia Senior Secondary School, Dibrugarh in a one-sided match by 16-0. The goals were scored by Sharmila Devi (4th, 7th, 18th, 41st), Manju Chorasiya (5th,64th), Antim(8th), Bharti Saroha (19th,34th), Dimple(28th, 33rd, 40th, 55th 63rd), Ankit Dahiya(30th, 60th, 69th) and Deepika (32nd ,52nd, 53rd), while the team from Dibrugarh failed to strike the board.
