14th Administrators Challenge Cup: Amarjit Football Academy drub Pride Football Club 6-2

footballChandigarh: Amarjit Football Academy Kurali drubbed Pride Sports Football Club, New Delhi by 6 - 2 in ongoing 14th Administrators Challenge Cup All India Football Tournament for boys U-17 Years, here on Friday.

Kurali lads opened the account in the 3rd minute of play through Prince who scored first goal for his team off a pass from Beant Singh. Second goal for Kurali was scored by Dilpreet in the 13th minute of play it was again Prince who scored third goal for Kurali in 44th minute of play. Amarjit Football Academy lads were leading by 3-0 at the half time.

After the interval Dilpreet Singh of Kurali scored 4th goal for his team. After conceding four goals, Delhi lads came up with couple of good moves Shivraj and Yogesh scored one goal each in 73rd and 77th minute of play for Delhi and reduced the margin. After conceding two goals, Kurali lads pumped two more goals through Prince and Armanveer Singh in the 90th and 92nd minute of play.

Mehakvir Singh, Ram Sharan and Jaspreet of Amarjit Football Academy Kurali and Yogesh of Pride Sports Football Club Delhi were cautioned by the referee and shown yellow card for un-supporting behaviuor.

In the second match played at Sector-42, Sports Complex, Baichung Bhutia Football School, New Delhi defeated Gujarat State Football Academy by 14 – 1. Seiminwm scored four goals in a row for Baichung Bhutia School in 17th, 24th, 48th and 56th minutes of play. Aishwarya also scored four goals in 62nd, 79th, 85th and 87th minutes of play Yasmiwoleng and Cirus were the other scorers who scored one goal each in 73rd and 90+1 minutes of play, respectively.

Akshay of Gujarat Football Academy scored the only good for his team in 59th minute of play. Sudarsh and Nikhil Dubey of Gujarat were shown yellow card by the referee for playing in a reckless manner.

Chandigarh teams dominated second day of 14th Administrator’s challenge cup All India Football Tournament for boys U-17 years. Chandigarh Football Association team defeated Haryana Young Football Club by 2-0 in their match played at Sector-42, Sports Complex.

Both the teams matched in the style of play throughout and raided the defence line of each other. However, Haryana lads come up with couple of good attempts in the first 10 minutes of the game. In the 5th minute of play a powerful grounder of Neeraj of Haryana struck the bar. In the next minute Vishal of Haryana after dribbling past two defenders of Chandigarh took a powerful shoot at Chandigarh goal but the attempts was foiled by Chandigarh goalie Devansh. Stunned by the lethal raids of Haryana, Chandigarh lads geared up and came up in a whirl wind fashion.

In the 35th minute of play, Chandigarh’s Alankar gave a through pass to Shubham in the Haryana penalty area but Shubham failed to convert an easy chance. In the 44th minute of play Sunny controlled the ball just a head of mid way line and dribbled past towards Haryana goal, he was advanced towards the Haryana goal and entered the penalty area where he was brought down by Shobhit of Haryana, where referee awarded penalty kick in favour of Chandigarh which was converted by Dalbir Singh.

At the half time Chandigarh lads were leading by 1-0. Ravtej Singh scored the second goal for Chandigarh in the 80th minute of play and consolidated the tally. Shobhit of Haryana Football and Sukhandeep of Chandigarh were cautioned by the referee in the 44th and 88th minute of play.

In the other match, Youngsters Club, Chandigarh played against Sekri Sports Academy Gurdaspur at Sector-17. Youngsters edge past Sekri academy with a narrow margin of 1-0. The only goal for Youngsters was scored by Rohit in the 45th minute of play. Deepak Preet Singh of Sekri Sports Association Gurdaspur was cautioned by the referee.
