2nd Tricity Junior Golf Championship to be held on September 18

Panchkula: The 2nd Tricity Junior Golf Championship will be conducted at the Panchkula Golf Club on September 18.

The idea behind the Tricity Junior Golf Championship is to give tournament exposure to young budding golfers who are aspiring to become future champions. The motive is to promote golf at the grassroot level and give an opportunity to children playing at all levels of the golf game to compete amongst each other, gain tournament experience which will prepare them and enable them to perform better at the national and international level.

The tournament is open to junior golfers aged between 7-18 years with a total of 5 categories: Category A (under 18 years), Category B (under 15 years), Category C (under 13 years), Category D (under 11 years) and Category E (under 9 years). Category E will play 9-holes only.
This championship will be played on a Gross format and there will be prizes for the winner, runners-up, 2nd runner-up, in each category for boys and girls.

In addition to this there will be a Nearest-to-the-Pin prize in each category for boys and girls and prizes for maximum number of pars in each category (boys & girls common).

Registrations for this tournament will be done at the Panchkula Golf Club Starter Hut, Chandigarh Golf Club Pro Shop, or with the organisers Ajay Gujral (9814356013), Manjit Kochhar (9815554788).

The first 50 participants will be enrolled on a first-come-first-serve basis. Children from all over North India are welcome to enroll.
Last date of registration is September 15.
