Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Golf Club Academy conducted a free “SAM Putt Lab Golf Putting Clinic” on the Tiger Turf Putting Green in the Chandigarh Golf Club on Tuesday.The Golf Putting Clinic was jointly conducted by directors of the Chandigarh Golf Club Academy, including Harmeet Kahlon, Manjit Kochhar and Ajay Gujral and received an overwhelming response with around 40 players -- especially young boys and girls from age six onwards -- participating in the hour-long clinic and using SAM Putt Lab as a Putting Analysis and improvement tool.

They also took valuable putting tips on the SAM Putt Lab from their individual coaches -- Preetinder Kaur, Pal Singh and Col Harinder Singh . Participants of the various summer golf programmes of other golf academies of the region also also participated .

According to Chandigarh Golf Club Academy director Harmeet Kahlon (Arjuna Awardee), “Each participant putting stroke was analysed on SAM Putt Lab with respect to this advanced equipment analyses. It improves 28 different parameters of putting, including face alignment, rhythm, putter fitting etc, putter speed, putter face and path, putter rhythm , putter face impact position, putter direction etc.”

“Both members and non – members participated and putters and balls were provided to all participants.SAM Putt Lab is one of the most important parts of the Chandigarh Golf Club Academy -- others being golf instruction, golf psychology, golf career planning , golf etiquette and golf rules and playing on the course, etc .This free SAM Putt Lab Golf Clinic is another of the Golf Club Academy’s Golf Development programmes being conducted by the directors and coaches of the Chandigarh Golf Club, including the summer and winter golf camps, playing on course initiative, free senior citizens golf coaching programmes, etc,” added Harmeet.
