Chandigarh: The Sports Department, Chandigarh Administration is conducting trials to select the Chandigarh Civil Services Swimming Team and Badminton Team on March 2, 2016 at All Weather Swimming Pool (Yoga Centre) Sector-23 Chandigarh for Swimming and Badminton Hall of Sports Complex Sector-42 Chandigarh for Badminton at 3.00 PM onwards.
Only employees working in full-fledged Departments of Chandigarh Administration (U.T.) are eligible to take part in the trials. All the participants shall carry individual Identity Card for verification of eligibility criteria.
NON ELIGIBLE CATEGORIES:
Uniformed personnel in Defense Services/Paramilitary/Police/RPF/CISF/ITBP/NSG/SPC etc. employees of autonomous bodies/Undertaking/Public-Sector Banks even though administratively controlled by the Central Ministries. Casual/Daily Wage workers. Employees attached to Offices on temporary duty. A newly recruited sportsman/employee/artist/who has put in less than 6 months in regular establishment/service. Professional or hired artists. Persons employed as Sports Officer/Instructors in Offices/Educational Institutions/Physical Training Institutions.
The selected teams will represent Chandigarh Civil Services Swimming Team and Badminton Team in the All India Civil Services Swimming Tournament and Badminton Tournament from 15th March to 17th March 2016 for Swimming and 21st March to 26th March 2016 for Badminton at Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) according to K.S. Bharti, Joint Director Sports Chandigarh Administration. It should be ensured that any act of indiscipline/misbehavior/misconduct will attract the provisions of CCS (Conduct) Rules since Government Employees are treated “ON DUTY” during All India Civil Services Tournament.
