India to host Red Bull Campus Cricket World Finals in 2015

After the incredibly successful summer of Red Bull Campus Cricket in England, the tournament will now move from the home of cricket to the land where cricket is often called a religion.

India will host the tournament in the second half of the year at a yet to be named location.

Indian Red Bull athlete Gautam Gambhir is delighted with India being awarded the honour of hosting the pinnacle of the virtual World championship for campus cricketers, “I’m glad India have the chance to host it. The atmosphere and the experience of playing in the subcontinent cannot be explained. Am sure, this will also give the teams competing across the world more incentive to win their national qualifiers.”

As the tournament enters its fourth year, more teams are expected to take part across the world and try to emulate the feat of the South Africa’s Assupol TUKS from Pretoria, the winners of Red Bull Campus Cricket World Finals 2014.
