New Delhi: B.M.S.C MANIPUR won the North & East leg of Nike’s Manchester United Premier Cup at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi after defeating MOHAMMEDAN SC – KOL 4 - 0 in the finals. The finalist of the North & East leg of Nike’s Manchester United Premier Cup will compete against the finalist of the South & West leg in Pune to be crowned Nike’s MUPC India Champions.

Nike’s annual MUPC tournament that is held under the aegis of the All India Football Federation has become a strong platform in India to unearth football talent at the grass root level and to enable young footballers to get an opportunity to represent India at a global stage.

In the first semifinal today, UNITED SIKKIM contested against MOHAMMEDAN SC – KOL while CONSCIENT FOOTBALL played last year’s MUPC India Champions, BMSC MANIPUR.

The U-15 tournament which was fiercely battled out by the best teams in the North & East regions of the country began on Jan 15, 2014. Nike’s MUPC will now move on to Pune for the South & West leg of the tournament. Nike’s MUPC India finals will also be held in Pune on Jan 24, 2014.
