KKR vs CSK: Players to watch out for in Match No. 47

kkrbislagoesinnovativeKolkata Knight Riders after losing three games in a row seems to have regrouped really fast by winning four matches in a trot which gives them a very good chance of qualifying to the next stage of the tournament. Chennai Super Kings on the other hand have almost sealed their spot for the playoffs and it is more about finishing first or second for them.

Here is a look at the players to watch out for in the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings:

Gautam Gambhir: Gambhir has played an important role in Kolkata’s turnaround in the tournament and looks a far better captain with runs under his belt. Gambhir would look to continue his good run with the bat which in turn will help KKR to get off to a flying start.

Robin Utthappa: Utthappa has come of age as a batsman and seems to have matured as a player in this year’s Indian Premier League. He has been the player to watch out for Kolkata Knight Riders and has been instrumental in giving his team a great start.

Sunil Narine: Narine is by far the best spinner in the history of IPL and this year has not been any different as he keeps picking up wickets for his team and also stops the flow of runs. Narine’s form can be crucial for KKR as it gives them the penetrative power in the bowling lineup.

Morne Morkel: Morkel seems to have got his rhythm back and is looking good to strike early against Chennai Super Kings. Morkel can rattle any side with his pace and KKR would be hoping that it happens in this match.

Chennai Super Kings:

Suresh Raina: Raina is one of the most prolific run-scorers in the shortest format of the game, especially for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Raina has the ability to take the game away from the opposition and is no mug with the ball in the hand as well. His form will be crucial for CSK if they wish to win the title.

Dwayne Smith: Smith has carried on his good form from Mumbai Indians to Chennai Super Kings and is in no mood to stop. His form with the bat is the reason behind CSK’s good start early in the innings and if he keeps going at this rate, he will make a lot of bowlers look really ordinary.

Ravi Ashwin: Ashwin has been one more guy who has contributed a lot in CSK’s success over the years and his off-spinners have rattled more than a couple of players in the IPL. He can come in and bowl in the powerplay overs and has this unique ability of breaking partnerships.
Ben Hilfenaus: Hilfenaus is a dangerous bowler early on in the innings as he gets the ball to move both ways and is a strike bowler who can get CSK off to a good start with the new ball.
