Players to watch out for: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings

chennai-super-kings-vs-royal-challenger-bangloreThe tournament is over for Royal Challengers Bangalore as they lost the previous match to Kolkata Knight Riders and now it is about pride and trying to rebuild for the next season more than anything else. The top-order did not fire as expected which will leave the Royal Challengers Bangalore a lot to think about their batting and bowling looked below par. Chennai Super Kings on the other hand have already qualified for the play-offs but their last couple of matches have ended in a losing cause which makes this match even more important for the CSK.

Here is a look at the players to watch out for in the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Chennai Super Kings

Dwayne Smith: Dwayne Smith has been in brilliant touch all throughout the tournament and looks to be the player who can take the match away from the opposition in the first six overs. Smith can hit the ball a long away and can play strokes all around the wicket which gives the bowlers little to play with when they are up against Smith.

Suresh Raina: Raina has shown in the earlier matches that he too can hit the ball a long way and is a very quick runner between the wickets which helps the team to convert the ones into twos and so on. Raina is no mug with the ball in hand and can break crucial partnerships which makes him even more valuable as a player.

Ravi Ashwin: Ashwin has been one more guy who has contributed a lot in CSK’s success over the years and his off-spinners have rattled more than a couple of players in the IPL. He can come in and bowl in the powerplay overs and has this unique ability of breaking partnerships.

Mohit Sharma:
Mohit Sharma has been among the wickets in this years’ IPL and can play a very important role for Chennai Super Kings in picking up early wickets. Sharma form with the ball has not great in the past couple of matches but he has the capability to bounce back and keep CSK in the hunt.

Royal Challengers Bangalore

Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli has had a quiet tournament so far with the bat in hand and he would look to turn the tables against Chennai Super Kings. Kohli can play freely now as RCB are already out of the tournament and this can work in his favour which is not good news for all the CSK fans.

Yuvraj Singh:
Yuvraj Singh has been in ominous form off late, striking the ball really well and parking it to all the corners of the park. Although his form has not done any good to RCB’s chances of qualifying to the next stage but when Yuvi is on song it is a treat to the naked eye for all the viewers all over the world.

Mitchel Starc:
Mitchel Starc has been a touch expensive in his previous encounters but he is by far the best bet as far as their bowling line-up in concerned. Starc has picked up wickets although not consistently but nonetheless still a bowler to watch out for.

Y Chahal:
Chahal has been a real find of the Indian Premier League and although he has been taken to the cleaners by Shakib in the previous match against KKR, Chahal by far has been the most consistent bowler for Royal Challengers Bangalore in this season.
