AIFF disqualifies 4 states from ongoing Sub-junior National Football Championship

FOUR STATES DISQUALIFIED FROM SUB-JUNIOR NATIONAL FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2015-16NEW DELHI: As per the recent initiative of All India Football Federation to curb age cheating, a two member Team inclusive of a doctor, was sent to each venue of the ongoing Sub-junior National Football Championship 2015-16.

According to the investigation that was carried out by the Team, one Player from each of the following States – Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhad and Uttar Pradesh – was found to be over-aged following independent medical tests.

Therefore, as per the Competition regulations, the abovementioned States have been disqualified from the Sub-junior National Football Championship 2015-16 in line with AIFF’s zero tolerance policy on age cheating. Other disciplinary actions will be initiated as per applicable AIFF regulations.
