Cuttack: The sale of tickets for the One-Day International (ODI) match between India and England, to be played at Barabati stadium here on January 19, would be on cashless basis, Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Secretary Ashirbad Behera said on Sunday.
The OCA Secretary said a meeting of the association has decided that all payments above Rs 500 against bills from different parties would be made through bank cheque, draft or digital transactions.
He also said that people can purchase tickets for the match though debit cards and credit cards.
"Since there is a shortage of cash across the state due to demonetisation, we have decided to go cashless or allow digital transactions for the benefit of the people," said Behera.
