Chandigarh: Tapendra Ghai played a clinical round of one under 71 on the second day of the Usha Punjab Juniors Golf Championship which is underway at the Chandigarh Golf Club, to lead after the second round with a total score of 148.

Mohan Sardar also had a great outing today and finished round two at one under 71 and a total of 150 and is lying second. S. Abhishek Shankar, with a day two score of 77 and a total of 151 is placed third after two rounds. Overnight leader AdilBir Singh had a disappointing second round and is lying at eighth position with a round two score of 82 and a total of 154 after round two.

Tapendra Ghai sank three birdies on the third, seventh and eighth holes two get off to a great start. Bogeys in the 14th and 18th holes cost him an even better return on day 2. Mohan Sardar had three birdies in the second, fifth and 17th holes. He had two bogeys at the first and the last holes.

Pukhraj Singh Gill with a total score of 151 is tied third along with S Abhishek Shankar. Jairaj Singh Sandhu is placed 5th with a total score of 153 at the end of the second round. Karandeep Kochar, Saptak Talwar, and Adilbir Singh are placed sixth after two round with identical total scores of 154.
