New Delhi: Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India is implementing a scheme, namely, Urban Sports Infrastructure Scheme (USIS) to develop sports infrastructure in the country. Under this scheme, sanction is accorded for laying of synthetic playing surface (for football, hockey and athletics) and for construction of Multipurpose indoor hall.
The Ministry has approved the following projects under this Scheme:-
1. Construction of multi-purpose indoor hall at Agricultural College, Bapatla, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh.
2. Laying of Astro Turf Hockey Field at YSR Sports School, Putlampalli, YSR, District Kadapa
3. Laying of Synthetic Turf Football Ground Sangay Lhaden Sports Academy (SLSA) Complex, Chimpu, SLSA Complex, Chimpu, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.
4. Construction of multi-purpose indoor hall in the premises of District Sports Association, Silchar, Assam.
5. Laying of Synthetic Athletic track at Bhim Stadium, Bhiwani Haryana.
6. Construction of multi-purpose hall at Pathananmthitta, Kerala.
7. Construction of multi-purpose hall at Pilakkal, Payyanand, Malappuram District, Kerala.
8. Construction of multi-purpose hall at Thoubal District, Manipur.
9. Construction of multi-purpose indoor hall at district Dimapur, Nagaland
10. Construction of multi-purpose indoor hall at the Global Open University, Nagaland, Sodzulhou Village, 6th Mile, Dimapur, Nagaland.
11. Laying of Synthetic football ground at Jalukier Town, Perun District, Nagaland
12. Laying of Synthetic athletic track at War Heroes Stadium , Sangrur, Punjab.
13. Construction of multi-purpose indoor hall in sports complex, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Rajasthan.
