New Delhi: Veteran Delhi golfer Smriti Mehra will feature in the 11th leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013 as a favourite, fresh from her stunning win at Srinagar last week. The INR 5,00,000 event will be played at the historic Delhi Golf Club from the 24th – 26th of September 2013. The 11th leg will also see the return of Hero MotoCorp Sponsored Bengaluru Golfer Sharmila Nicollet to the ongoing Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013.

Smriti, who managed a stunning win in a three way playoff last week at Srinagar will look forward to capture the top spot in the Hero Order of Merit 2013 as she is currently placed second with total earnings of INR 8,15,000 from four wins in 10 appearances. She currently trails the leader Neha Tripathi of Kolkata by INR 35,900.

Hero MotoCorp Sponsored Bengaluru golfer Sharmila Nicollet who is the youngest Indian to qualify for the Ladies European Tour will return to the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013 after participating in the recently concluded LET event in Sweden. The other players to watch out for in the 11th leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013 are Delhi golfer Vani Kapoor and Rookie Shweta Galande who has impressed many with her consistent finishes.

The Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour 2013 comprises a total of fourteen legs spanning across key locations in India.
