Indian goalkeeper Sandip Nandy pens one year deal with Mohun Bagan

New Delhi: Indian National Team custodian Sandip Nandy is on his way back to Kolkata, having recently signed with McDowell’s Mohun Bagan AC.



Sandip Nandy had a brilliant I-League season last season and was one of the stalwarts of Churchill Brothers’ league triumph.The Indian International will add steel to McDowell’s Mohun Bagan’s defence next term.



Uttam Saha, Football Secretary, McDowell’s Mohun Bagan Athletic Club said “We are extremely pleased with the signing of Sandip Nandy and thank Libero Sports India who facilitated the transfer. I am confident Sandip will play a vital role for the team next season, as he did in 1997 when Mohun Bagan won the National Football League and we look forward to him joining us.”

 

Arvind Narayan, Libero Sports Partner and Nandy’s FIFA Licensed player agent said on his client’s appointment with the Mariners, “Sandip is one of the best goalkeepers in India at the moment and will be a great addition to Mohun Bagan. He will help Mohun Bagan in their quest for winning titles on all fronts. He is looking forward to playing in front of the vociferous Kolkata crowd. We wish him all the best!”
