New Delhi: Raj Singh, Secretary General, Wrestling Federation of India [WFI] has been elected as Secretary General of Asian Associated Wrestling Council [AAWC] in the General Assembly of AAWC held on April 16 at New Delhi for the next four years term.
There were 24 representatives from different parts of the Asian Countries and cast their votes. Dr. Chang Kew Kim was elected as president with 23 votes while Raj with 20 votes was elected as the secretary general. One vote was rejected.
The last election was held at Pattaya in 2009 Asian Championship. It is first in the history of Indian wrestling when an Indian elected as secretary general of AAWC.
