New Delhi: Arunima Sinha and Susen Mahato reached the Summit of Island Peak (Height - 6160 meters or 20,070 feet) on April 11th morning. Further they reached Base Camp of Mt. Everest on April 15th evening.
For Arunima and Susen, the entire journey so far is part of the acclimatization process, to help prepare them for the rigors to be faced once they leave Base Camp for higher camps of Everest.
Puja to seek God’s blessings for the safety of climbers will be performed on April 17 and 18. Thereafter the Mt. Everest Journey will begin on April 19.
Both Arunima & Susen are in sound health and good spirit and are measuring up well to the rigors of the expedition.
