Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad would be looking to give each other a hard time when they will battle it out at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur. With Shikhar Dhawan in prime form, SRH can chase down decent totals but they need to be watchful against terrific James Faulkner. SRH would be looking to spell some magic with their spin twins, Amit Mishra and Karan Sharma, who are in brilliant touch with the ball.
But a batsman of Shane Watson’s calibre won’t be easy to tackle and add to that the form of Ajinkya Rahane and Stuart Binny, they can give some tough time to Thisara Perera and Co. Both the teams have brilliant top-order batsmen who can turn this match in to a run-feast for sure.
Here we bring to you the players to watch out for the match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) versus Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Rajasthan Royals (RR)
Shane Watson: Watson’s brilliant ton went in vain but that terrific knock has ensured that he can tear apart any bowler who comes in his way and playing in home conditions will make him much more dangerous. His all-round ability gives immense strength to Rajasthan Royals.
Stuart Binny: Binny has played some great cameo in the middle order and his ability to come hard in death overs adds great strength in the batting line up. His efforts with the ball has earned him few wickets for RR. He just needs to be consistent in one of the department and he can surely turn the tables for RR .
Ajinkya Rahane: Rahane would be looking to get back amongst runs on his home-ground and that too in grand style. He started explosively in last match and gave some momentum but he failed to continue it for long and lost his wicket. He just needs to stay at the crease and let Watson fire from the other end.
James Faulkner: Faulkner has been brilliant with the ball as he ended up picking three wickets in his four overs by giving away just 20 runs. He has that lethal Yorkers in his armoury to counter any batsmen and with his subtle variations, he becomes much more lethal in death overs.
Ajit Chandila: Chandila has performed brilliantly with the ball and his ability to give that early breakthrough makes him a much needed bowler in RR's bowling attack. In last match, he ended up picking one wicket for just 16 runs in his three overs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
Shikhar Dhawan: Dhawan was sensational in his comeback match and gave his team a much needed stability with his 63 runs knock. If continues with his form in Jaipur then RR are going to have some tough time on the field. He needs just a good opening partner who can rotate the strike well and Parthiv Patel can be an ideal replacement for Quinton de Kock as Kock has not done much in whatever opportunity he has got till now.
Karan Sharma: Karan was absolutely brilliant with the ball as he gave away just eight runs in his four overs. Even a player of MS Dhoni’s calibre avoided taking him on, which ensured that his four overs with Mishra can take the game away from RR’s hands.
Kumar Sangakkara: Sangakkara should come in place of Cameron white who has been doing nothing good for SRH. Sangakkara is a class batsman and can cherish the extra bounce from Jaipur’s wicket which will allow him to score quickly. Sangakkara has far better technique and leadership skills than White.
Amit Mishra: Mishra was once again the pick of the bowlers as he went on to take three wickets as he gave away just 26 runs. His ability to take wickets in quick succession makes him a deadly bowler in mid-overs as he can disturb the balance of oppositions batting line-up.
Thisara Perera: Perera should make his comeback as he has been the most consistent player for SRH with the bat as well as ball. Sammy should make way for Perera who has proved his worth with some exceptional performance this season.
