RCB vs SRH: Players to watch out for from match no. 9

rcbversussunrisershyderabadonsundayRoyal Challengers Bangalore are ready to payback when they face-off Sunrisers Hyderabad for the second time in three days. Last match between them was a cracker which went to the super over and saw a fantastic battle between Chris Gayle and Dale Steyn. Though, this time Gayle will be looking to settle his scores with Steyn . Apart , it is going to be a great test of character for Virat Kohli and Kumar Sangakkara who had been looking equally good in marshalling the troops and making the most of every player they have.

Here we bring s to you the players who will play a crucial role in making this match another exciting thriller of the IPL.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

Chris Gayle: He missed the opportunity of smashing Dale Steyn in that exciting super over but he would be looking to unleash himself in a much more ruthless manner when they will battle it out for the second time. He was undone by Hanuma Vihari in the very first ball of the second over and got his second chance when he came out for that super over. Gayle’s probability to come all guns blazing is much high when he plays at Bangalore. He will be a trump card for RCB.

Virat Kohli: Kohli displayed some brilliant captaincy and made that target of 130 look like 180 with his charismatic bowling changes and some brilliant field placements. He contributed with the bat too as he scored 46 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He needs to make sure that he stays on the crease up till 16th over of the innings to give his middle-order a chance to fire all cylinders in last three or four overs.

Muttiah Muralitharan: Muralitharan was right on spot in the last match and bowled beautifully. He was back in the rhythm and gave away just 18 runs in his quota of four overs and picked up a crucial wicket of Akshath Reddy who was looking really good at 23.

Vinay Kumar: Vinay was simply superb in his last over though he missed out in the super over and went for two huge sixes from the bat of Cameron White. He bowled those deadly Yorkers in the final over of the match and gave away just six runs. He is the real bowling star for RCB.

Moises Henriques: Henriques was the star performer for RCB in his very first match of the sixth edition of Indian Premier League. He scored 44 off 46 balls and took the team to a fighting total of 130 and when he came out to roll his arm, he picked up the crucial wicket of Parthiv Patel and in his next over he oudid Cameron White, who could have been very dangerous in the shortest format of the game.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

Dale Steyn: Steyn had the last laugh when he stunned Gayle with his short-ball in the super over to clinch a sensational victory for Hyderabad. His express bowling holds the key for Sunrisers Hyderabad. He was bit expensive in his outing against RCB and ended up with the bowling figures of 1/37.

Kumar Sangakkara: Sangakkara did a brilliant work as captain in the last match and used his bowlers really well but batting at number five is not his cup of tea. Player of his calibre needs to bat at number three to give that stability to his team and longer he plays the better it would be for SRH.

Ishant Sharma: Ishant Sharma had a brilliant outing against Bangalore and he picked up three wickets for 27 runs. He can be really handy on the wicket of Bangalore as it offers more assistance to bowlers in comparison to slow wicket of Hyderabad. His variations are making a great impact on opposition and bowling in tandem with Steyn is getting the best out of him.

Amit Mishra: Mishra’s brilliant run continued in the second match and he made a significant difference with his aggressive bowling. He picked the wicket of Karun Nair and gave away just 15 runs in his quota of four overs.

Cameron White: White played the crucial role in the victory of SRH with his two huge sixes in the crunching super over. He outplayed Vinay Kumar with his power hitting. He scored just five runs in the chance he got first but he failed to do something good with that. But he repaid it in the super over quite brilliantly by setting up a challenging 20 runs on the board.
