Team India focus on fielding in practice camp on Day 2

dhonileadsBengaluru: Team India were looking like livewire on the field at Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore on the second day of their training session. Players were training with special focus on fielding for the upcoming Test series against Australia which is going to start from February 22.

Indian team were criticized for their poor fielding in the recent Test series against England but it seems that they have has decided not to repeat their mistakes against the Aussies and are leaving no stone unturned during their preparations. On Saturday in the nets, much attention was on the opening pair for the first Test as Virender Sehwag and Murli Vijay batted for almost an hour.

With a soothing weather in Bangalore, Indian team were looking very agile on the field and were full of energy. They first began with the warm-up exercises and then moved on to their three hour long fielding session. The players also had run-out drills.

The intensity shown by all the players was a treat to watch during the fielding session. Focus in the fielding session was on catching. They had close-in and boundary catching practice in three separate batches under the charge of Coach Duncan Fletcher, fielding Coach Trevor Penny and bowling Coach Joe Dawes.
