Suspense over Chetashwar Pujara’s ODI debut continues

Dharamsala: All eyes were on Chetashwar Pujara when he was named for the ODI squad but seeing him playing in blue jersey seems to be a distant reality because he might not get chance even in the final ODI against England at Dharamsala.

If we go by the batting line up during the nets then Pujara needs to wait till Champions Trophy for his Debut. It was Gautam Gambhir, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who started the proceedings by entering the three nets adjacent to each other.

They were followed by skipper Dhoni, Yuvraj and Raina. Suresh Raina, who came at the pre-match press conference stated, “We will have a new batting attack tomorrow," but he didn't wish to clarify whether it means the change in approach or a change in the batting line-up.

Dhoni looks in no mood to take a gamble by replacing a full-time spinner for a batsman and even if he does that then leg-spinner, Amit Mishra might come in who has not yet played a single match in the series.

Interesting thing that has come out from the nets session is Ashok Dinda bowled a long spell along with Ishant Sharma and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar which suggests that he might get back into the team and Shami would most probably be rested for the final one-dayer.
