New Delhi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports have made it clear that they are not de-recognising the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) yet after there were rumors about its possible de-affiliation.

The ministry said that they had only issued notice to the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) over the election process held in April.

"As of now we have not taken any such move to derecognise the body. We are in the process of reviewing al l sports bodies,” sports minister Jitender Singh said.

The ministry had earlier placed provisional suspension on Indian Amateur Boxing Federation (IABF) and the Archery Association of India (AAI) for apparent manipulation with the election process.
