Kolkata: Eden Gardens curator Prabir Mukherjee criticized Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni for his demand for a rank turner for the third Test match between India and England.
Mukherjee said that Dhoni’s demand for a rank-turner was immoral as the organizers sell tickets for a five day game and there is a chance of the game ending in three days on a turner. Mukherjee said that it is immoral and illogical to tamper with the pitch and that he has not done it in his life.
Mukherjee said that players cannot get what they want all the time, the players are contracted to the BCCI and get paid handsomely to play
good cricket. He said that conditions ought to change with different venues because of climatic changes.
