New Delhi: Pragyan Ojha struck twice and wicket apiece by R Ashwin and Umesh Yadav reduced England to reduce England to 110/7 at lunch on day three of the first Test at the Motera in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
England starting the day at 41/3 with overnight batsmen Alastair Cook and Kevin Pietersen put up a strong resistance for initial 45 minutes before a beauty by Pragyan Ojha castled Pietersen for 17.
His wicket brought Ian Bell to the crease and was out first ball caught at the mid-wicket by Sachin Tendulkar to give Ojha his third wicket.
Reduced to 69-5, England still had their skipper Alastair Cook at the crease but his defiant also came to an end after R Ashwin flighted delivery saw hi edging the ball to Virender Sehwag at first slip.
Cook scored 41 off 109 deliveries including seven boundaries.
England next wicket fell when Umesh Yadav bowling for the first time in the match after 47 overs struck in his first over when he trapped Samit Patel in front of the wicket.
England will now require a miraculous innings from Matt Prior to make India bat again.
