Mumbai: Centuries from Sachin Tendulkar, Ajinkya Rahane and Abhishek Nayar helped Mumbai score a massive 570 in their first innings against Railways in the Ranji Trophy opener being played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Railways in their first inning lost two wickets for 86 at the end of the second day.
Mumbai started the second day at the score of 344/4. Rahane who started his innings on 105 could only add 24 runs to his score before getting out. Nayar then got together with Agarkar and together the two added 60 runs for the sixth wicket.
Nayar played some cracking shots and was the aggressor, he got good support from Ramesh Powar (41) and the two took Mumbai past the 500 run mark.
Railways in reply got off to a bad start as they lost two wickets for only 31 runs, Nitin Bhille and Sanjay Bangar added 55 unbeaten runs before the day ended.
