Ghaziabad: Delhi fought back brilliantly after conceding the first innings lead against UP in Ranji Trophy opener being played at Ghaziabad.
Delhi in their first innings could only manage 235 runs as most of their batsmen failed to capitalize on the starts they got.
UP in reply, lost an early wicket of Tanmay Srivastava but saw some brilliant batting from other opener Mukul Dagar and captain Mohammad Kaif.
Together the two added 196runs for the second wicket. Dagar made 116 runs while Kaif missed his ton by nine runs. Delhi then got back into the game by picking the two set batsmen. The Delhi never looked back from there and three more wickets.
UP at the end of the second day were leading by 57 runs with four wickets remaining. Suresh Raina and Amir Khan were on the crease when the day ended.
