Sachin getting runs ahead of England series a good sign, says Gavaskar

Mumbai: Legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar said that Sachin Tendulkar scoring a century in the Ranji Trophy is a good sign ahead of the four Test match England series. Sachin scored a run-a-ball 137 against Railways in the Ranji Trophy opener.

Gavaskar said that don’t see too much issue the way Sachin is batting. Gavaskar said that India had a two months break and maybe Sachin was a bit rusty after that.

On the upcoming Pakistan series, Gavaskar said that he has no objection with the series but said that the timing of the series is odd because it won’t give the Indian team an opportunity to rest before the Australia series.
