There was pressure on us to do well: Sunil Narine

Reigning IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders bowed out of the ongoing Champions League Twenty20 after their match against Perth Scorchers was washed out. KKR’s leading spinner Sunil Narine admitted that there was pressure on them to do well in this tournament after their triumph in the IPL earlier this year.

Narine said that the team was looking to win the match and qualify, he said that the players are looking forward to the last match and are keen on winning that.

Narine who had a good outing in the tournament said that team’s performance is much important than individual’s performance. Narine said that he would have been more happy if had struggled but the team would have performed well.

Narine who was the leading wicket taker in the recently concluded T20 World Cup which West Indies won said that he thinks more about his game and not too much about the batsmen he is going to bowl to and hoped that he can continue his good run.

On bowling in different conditions, Narine said that in sub-continent one gets more spin and that allows a bowler to ball faster, he said that the margin of error is very low in South African conditions.

On being a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders outfit Narine said that to share the dressing room with senior players have helped him a lot. He said that he has enjoyed his time with KKR and is looking forward to play with them for a long time.
